Podcasting has the potential to change the way corporations leverage the power of the internet. Corporate marketers now have a new, highly efficient audio and video platform where they are producer, broadcaster and publisher. Peter Levitan, President and CEO of the advertising agency Ralston360, explains why podcasting is worth doing for marketers, and how to do it well.

A change-agent is how Levitan describes podcasting - because no matter how you define podcasting, it is making sweeping changes on the internet, as well as in the marketing world. But given podcasting's power and potential, who are the marketers that aren't getting it? Despite it's attractive qualities, the numbers are not on podcasting's side - there's safety in bigger numbers.

Levitan explains why podcasting is such an excellent tool to build relationships, and how to leverage podcasting to interest people and businesses. With podcasting you can interest potential employees, use it as a new way to talk to your employees, and even replace antiquated things like conference calls. You are in control of your podcast, your brand and your message, it's just important not to do it badly.

Peter Levitan is the President & CEO of Ralston360, an advertising agency with offices in Bend, Oregon and San Francisco that specializes in Podcasting. Prior to joining Ralston360, Levitan served as the President and CEO of ActiveBuddy, an instant messaging technology company. In 1995 he launched the award-winning New Jersey Online for Advance Publications where he held the position of President & CEO.

In 1999, the Newspaper Association of America named Levitan its "New Media Pioneer". Before discovering the Internet in 1994, Peter spent 16 years managing Fortune 500 advertising accounts at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Worldwide. He held a variety of positions including European Director in London, General Manager of the Minneapolis office, and Senior Vice President in New York.
